The <!--> [comment tag]
The <!--> tag has 2 important uses. Foremost, whenever you are designing an App, there is a high likelihood that the App would require multiple 1000 lines of codes for its functionality.Now guess what? imagine there arises a sudden need to make some pivotal changes at the launching of the Javascript, and these changes are very minuscule. The question is, how would you locate that area amidst the spanning lines of code?
Now, if you would used comments to identify areas, then this task would be a walk in the park
Secondly, it is also imperative to understand that the average time a software developer remains in any organization is approximately 2 years. This means at any given time, an edurite developer has at least 2 job offers to choose from. That would mean, when a developer leaves, his or her work would require a greater time input to be continued on by any successor. For to understand the code and then to operate on it, is rather easily said than done. This is like asking someone to give the next 8 digit prime.
This is where placing comments in code comes in handy. For they act as a directional map to anyone who comes in next.
It is also important to note that when you as a developer joins another team, you can very well expect the same gratitude from your predecessor.
So placing comments in codes, is the foremost fundamental practice that all good coders should adopt.
